What To Expect

Our therapy service offers you a safe and confidential setting to talk about the difficulties you are experiencing and how your negative thoughts, feelings, emotions and behaviour are limiting your quality of life. Cognitive Behavioural Therapy is a short term therapy which focuses on the here and now. The therapist will begin by exploring with you how you think and feel about yourself, other people and the world.

Therapy sessions last for 55 minutes and initially, are on a weekly basis. Sessions are gradually reduced to fortnightly, three weekly and so on as you start to address and deal with your problems more effectively. At the conclusion of your first appointment your therapist will give you an estimate of the amount of sessions you will need to achieve your goals. If your therapist feels that your goals are not achievable with Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapy, (CBT), they will discuss this with you at the first opportunity
